    Dear Dev Team,

Let say i have 5 sub sites (A, B, C, D and E) using same database with different applicationName. I have created a master page in site A, how can i shared this master page to site B, C and E but not in D? The reason for this is because whenever update a change in a shared master page, all other sites should update to it without doing one by one.

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Hi Jason,

The master page is a physical file, so you can remove it from your "D" website and leave it in "B" and "C".
If you duplicate a given template this will create a dynamic copy in Sitefinity. If the application name for "B" and "C" is the same as this one for "A" this template will be visible.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan,

The problem is that we want to separate all the sub projects to independent solution. So, the duplicate master page can only see when applicationName is same, what about if applicationName is different, how can we other sub projects can see the duplicate master page?

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Hi Jason,

Then you can manually query [sf_PageBase] table where ItemType='PageTemplate' and alter the application name. You have to do the same inside [sf_CmsPageTemplate]. In this case you should manually set the same application name for your websites.

    Sincerely yours,
