    Hi,

    I dragged a sitepanel bar in to the "Default" template that sitefinity provides.  The SitePanelBar no longer animates.  i.e.  The bars do not expand smoothly when I click on expand on a page group.

    How do I get this working? Thanks.

    Hello Richard Leung,

    You could check whether there are not any java scrip errors thrown. Have you set any of the control properties?Could you sent a demo link or screencast that represents the problem?

    Best wishes,

    Hello Richard Leung,

    You could open the built-in control SitePanelBar or create a new one that has the following declaration

    <asp:SiteMapDataSource ID="SiteMapDataSource1" runat="server" ShowStartingNode="false"/>
    <telerik:RadPanelBar  ExpandMode="FullExpandedItem" ID="RadPanelbar1" runat="server" DataSourceID="SiteMapDataSource1" OnItemDataBound="RadPanelbar1_ItemDataBound" EnableViewState="false">
    <ExpandAnimation Type="OutQuart" Duration="300" />
    <CollapseAnimation Type="OutQuint" Duration="200" />
    </telerik:RadPanelBar>

    You have to create the root RadPanel items as group page and set HideUrlForGroupPages  property of the built-in SiteMenu control or add the logic below inside OnPreRender

    protected override void OnPreRender(EventArgs e)
    {
        base.OnPreRender(e);

       var allItems =  RadPanelbar1.GetAllItems();
       if (allItems.Count > 0)
       {
           foreach (RadPanelItem item in allItems)
           {
               if (item.Items.Count > 0 & item.Level == 0)
               {
                   item.NavigateUrl = "";
               }
           }
       }
    }

    Sincerely yours,
