Please advise me if I missed something that was already there, but the only way I saw for users to modify their profile was within the Admin area. For content editors that might be fine, but a good % of my user base are users that have different levels of access to content, but no content management roles. So... I wanted them to have the ability to view/edit their profile from somewhere within the main site(not having to enter the admin area, even if the navigation back and forth were seemless). I basically copied the MyProfile.aspx file to my custom controls folder, along with the .resx file, changed the aspx to an ascx, changed the events from OnPreInit to OnInit, for example, and added the appropriate toolbox entry in the web.config.
I then created a CMS page, drug my MyProfile module onto the page and it works like magic.
My only issue.... I like the styling of thepage, as it is within the admin area. Although it is 100% functional at the moment, my current control is very unattractive. I did not make any changes to the class info in the aspx file that I converted to an ascx.
Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction as to how I might allow my control(~/MyCustomControls/MyProfile/MyProfile.ascx) to pull in whatever appropriate style info it is looking for from the Admin area?
Any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated.
