    Using the summer-green template - trying to locate where I can modify the dark square that bounds all the control areas.  It is not in any of the image files associated with the template.

    Hi Jim Di Carlo,

    Can you send a screenshot to illustrate what you want to modify? I am not sure what dark squares you refer to.

    On the other hand, all background images are in ~/App_Themes/Summer-Green and the subfolders. So if you don't find such image there, the square might not come from an image. Use Firebug for Firefox to see if there is a border or background color that forms the square.

    Hi Jim Di Carlo,

    We've got the PDF. Thank you for your cooperation.

    So there are two images that form the dark square — Images/content.png and Images/footer.gif. Also #555D58 background color is used to fill the space between the two images. The CSS can be found in ~/App_Themes/Summer-Green/style.css

    line 82
    .content {
    background:#555D58 url(Images/content.png) no-repeat scroll 50% 0;
    clear:both;
    float:left;
    margin:20px 0 0;
    min-height:480px;
    padding:20px 20px 0;
    width:960px;

    line 212
    .footer {
    background:#555D58 url(Images/footer.gif) no-repeat scroll 50% 100%;
    clear:both;
    color:#E0F4F0;
    float:left;
    margin-bottom:80px;
    padding:10px 20px;
    width:960px;

    As for the background that you want to make more visible, it is set to the body tag.

    line 1
    body {
    background:#FF0000 url(Images/body.jpg) no-repeat scroll 50% 0;
    color:#131313;
    font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size:13px;
    line-height:1.2;
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    text-align:left;

    Let us know if you need further help.
