Custom data- attribute in Sitefinity Content Block

Hello,

I am using Sitefinity Content block to display the HTML on page. I want to use HTML "data-" attribute on content block's DIV or whatever wrapper tag.

Is this any way available to set it?

Help would be highly appreciated.

Hello,

When editing the Content Block:
- Click on the Advanced button
- Scroll down to the bottom of the attribute list
- In the "WrapperTag" edit box, enter the "data-" attribute after the div

Is this possible with a Layout div in Sitefinity?

Hello,

If you want to modify the layout, you will need to create your own templates.

Thanks Laurent,

I'm trying to use Sitefinity tools as much as possible.  Having developed the site previously in ASP.NET, I want the new website to resort to coding pages manually as little as possible.  Could a Request for Change be made to allow layout div tags, to add data attributes as you can with content blocks?  It seem on the surface a small change?

Hello David,

Please note that creating a page template does not require any coding.

Anyway, I have filed a Feature Request for that: http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/153/Feedback/Details/157741-allow-to-customize-layout-div-elements-without-creating-ones-own-templates

Make sure to subscribe if you want to be kept notified of any change in this feature request.

Hello Everyone,
Thanks Laurent for creating a Feature Request. I just vote it up.

Also, Thanks David to suggest a way to customize the layout div. It would be great if we can assign custom attributes, id and wrapper tag to layout.
