    Hello,

We are developing a widget that includes another widget within it. Is there any way to expose the nested widget's designer to the user? We would prefer to avoid duplicating code from the nested control's designer in the parent.

Or, if nested widgets are bad practice, what is a good alternative? We have a top navigation bar that needs to be used across templates that use otherwise unrelated masters.

    Thank you,
    Chris

    Hi Chris -

Take a look at multi-view designers. A multi-view designer has "tabs" at the top allowing you to switch to different views. Then create some properties in your child widget that gets it's data passed from the parent widget.  http://www.sitefinity.com/documentation/documentationarticles/multi-view-control-designers

    Hope this is helpful.

    Cheers,
    Josh
