We are on 6.3, and I want to set up a custom URL for a
dynamic module item in the search results. Thus a custom dynamic module
provider should be created as detailed in:

    http://www.sitefinity.com/documentation/documentationarticles/change-how-urls-of-dynamic-items-are-generated

However, once the provider has been created and registered,
I cannot seem to be able to create or update the module provider on
new/existing items. I can however see the provider in the top part of the
screen when I am ‘listing’ all the dynamic module items (i.e. filter by
provider). How do I specify which provider the dynamic module

    items should use?

Also, are there other ways to customise the url of a dynamic module item in the search results (I just assumed the above was the way).

    Hi Leon,

It looks like you have missed the follow up documentation article, which addresses the your particular issue. After you have set your provider all of your new module items will generate their URLs in the new way you have specified. The old ones will continue doing it the old way until you republish them. You can do so in mass by using the Module builder core reference located in the backend, where your module items are.
