    I have a few questions regarding URL rewriting...

    I found the following forum post and have been playing with this a bit:
    http://www.sitefinity.com/support/forums/support-forum-thread/b1043S-bagmhk.aspx

    I have this working with a simple rule:

          <rule>
            <url>us.aspx</url>
            <rewrite>AboutUs.aspx</rewrite>
          </rule>

    Now i have two questions that take this well beyond this:

    1) I want to remove the extension from the url to creat a rule something like this:

          <rule>
            <url>/us/</url>
            <rewrite>AboutUs.aspx</rewrite>
          </rule>

    so that when they input http://www.mydomains.com/us it rewrites to AboutUs.aspx

    2) I want to then take it a step further than question 1 above and rewrite a url like this: http://www.mydomains.com/about/us to rewrite to AboutUs.aspx. Eventually this idea will be much extended to http://www.mydomains.com/products/id/1234 to rewrite to products.aspx?id=1234

    I have added a Application Extension for .* in IIS so that IIS can handle the non-extension and process through ASP.NET...

    Non the less this is not work. How do i get this idea working?

    Nugs

    I managed to get both these senarios working...

    Information on this can be found in the user manual. Section "Extensionless URLs"

    I did not know that i had to "forward all HTTP 404 to ASP.NET" to serve extensionless URLs.

    Great!

    Thanks!
