    Hi,

I need the following solution and I'm wondering if it can be done with pluggable modules?
    I have the following entities:

    - Product
    - ProductGroup
    - ProductCategories

Each product can have one or more:

    - Nutritions
    - Allergenes

    These are different entities.

Is this something I can do with pluggable modules? Is it possible to link entities from different pluggable modules?
I want to make use of the localization framework and permissions.

I know how to build a pluggable module, but I don't know how to link it to other entities...

    Anyone has experience with this?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Or... is it possible to have my own database and build an intra-site module with use of ORM?
Well, I know that is possible, but can I make use of the localization features of Sitefinity?

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel Plomp,

It is possible to link entities from different modules.

You can create a metafield for your items which will hold links to related items. For example it will store the IDs of those items separated by commas. Then in the edit controls of your modules you can use the API of your module to get the related items in a list. And probably use some control such as RadListBox which is populated from the API and shows all available items you can associate to. Then you should edit the save method of your back-end controls to get the selected values from the RadListBox and put them in the metafield.

    All the best,
