I have downloaded sitefinity version 3.7 [trial] and have implemeted it in my local system.

I'm new to sitefinity and I was trying to make a dummy website. So I wanted to edit some of the files. I opened the solution using Visual studio [VS2008]. but i'm not able to create a new file or edit any of the current files. not even web.config. Is this, because i'm using a trial version? or if its something else, please help..

I can edit web.config by opening it in a notepad and the changes is reflected in the website.

This is one of the error i got when i tried to add a .master page:

Unable to add 'C:\Users\vipintp\AppData\Local\Temp\yfeuq4ir.kck\TestMaster.master' to the Web site.
Unable to add file 'App_Master\Library\TestMaster.master'.  Access is denied.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Vipin Menon,

Thank you for using our services.

The trial version of Sitefinity is a fully featured version - there are no restrictions on functionality. In this line of thought the trial version is not the reason you are getting this. Make sure that the directory is not read only and that the user you are looged in on your system has write permissions over the website directory.
