    Hi, guys.

I have a quick question about setting permissions in Sitefinity. Let’s refer to example.

Let’s say we have a page within a site http://mydomain/restrictedpage.aspx. We can set permissions in Sitefinity for some roles not to be able to view the page in Sitefinity. I mean, when the user goes to http://mydomain/sitefinity/admin/Pages.aspx he will not be able to access restrictedpage.aspx.

My question: Is there any way to set permissions that will affect live site, not CMS, so the person who does not have permissions will not be able to access the page http://mydomain/restrictedpage.aspx .

I understand that I can set this manually in web.config. But I wonder if I can do this using Sitefinity CMS interface.

Thanks in advance for your quick response.

    Bryan.

    Hi Bryan,

    Thank you for contacting us.

If you set Anonymous access to deny, this page will be visible/accessible only for authenticated users. In 3.6 we included a new default role "owner" - the user that has created and item/page. - this will allow you to set additional permissions that will affect the backend.

Let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.
