Is there a way to change the arrangement in the Page Title of a Blog Post?

e.g.  Blog.aspx has it's own page title you can enter when setting up the page.  e.g. "My Blog.."

When Blog.aspx renders "My Blog" shows up in the Page Tile.

If a user clicks a Blog Post on that page the user is taken to /Blog.aspx/BlogPostTitle..... and the Page Title show "My Blog > Blog Post Title"

Is there a way to swap those so the Blog Post Title shows first?
e.g. "Blog Post Title > My Blog"

This is important for SEO if you want the Blog Post page to rank higher for the key words in the Blog Post Title.

    Thanks for your help,
    Shane

    Hello Shane,

Currently, we do not provide the ability to exchange the blog name and blog post name. However, what you could do is only display the name of the blog post. You could do that with the following steps:
    1. Open the properties of the BlogPosts control which is set to display a single post.
    2. Go to Advanced tab, Page Title section.
    3. Remove the '>' symbol from the textbox PageTitleFormatString.
    4. Change the value of the dropdown list PageTitleMode from Append to Replace.
The attached image shows how the settings should be.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello,  I was just checking in to see if this feature we have been talking about is going to make it in the next Sitefinity release.  I have been doing a lot of research on SEO and the consensus is that having the Blog post tile first and then the name of the site or Blog second is best for SEO.

    <title>{Post Title}  |  {Blog Title}</title>

A feature I would love to see in Sitefinity is the ability to customize the page title for all blog post.  Have a property called "Blog Post Page Title"  and let us the users set the page title.  This is becoming very important in the SEO world and most Blog engines have this abilty.  Now I know Sitefntiy it much much more than a Blog engine...that's why I use it. :)

    Thanks,
    Shane

    Hello Shane,

Please take our apologies - this is implemented even now. You can either customize your blog posts title in general, or for particular blog post. Let me elaborate on this:

    1. In General
    1. Open the properties of the BlogPosts control which is set to display a single post.
    2. Go to Advanced tab, Page Title section.
    3. Change the value of the dropdown list PageTitleMode from Append to Replace.
    4. Change the value in the property PageTitleFormatString to {0} | [Your Blog Title]. In my case I set it to {0} | Sitefinity Blog. Please check the attached screenshots for more information.
    5. PageTitleMetaFields property should be set to: Title
    2. For every blog post
    1. You need to create one new metafield for the Blogs provider, and name it for example "PageBlogTitle". For more information on this, please refer to our User Manual -> Working with Modules -> Customizing Modules -> Adding Custom Meta Fields.
    2. Create a new blog post. You will be asked to submit a value for the new metafield as well.
    3. Open the properties of the BlogPosts control which is set to display a single post.
    4. Go to Advanced tab, Page Title section.
    5. Change the value of the dropdown list PageTitleMode from Append to Replace.
    6. Change the value in the property PageTitleFormatString to {0} | {1}
    7. PageTitleMetaFields property should be set to: Title, PageBlogTitle
This is all. You can define as many metafields as you want.

    I hope this help you.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi
