    I am trying to use the radEditor from latest Telerik.Web.UI.dll in a 'regular' aspx page (not a sitefinity page)  within a sitefinity project.
    Is it possible to use the above radEditor in a sitefinity project in a regular aspx page or there are some problems in doing so? I am facing styling problems, like the tool bar shows up with an empty row between each of its tool bar lines and also the font-color property (set to orange) of radEditor does not get applied.

    Yes, Sunil, there is no problem to use the latest RadEditor in a regular .aspx page and then add it as external type to your Sitefinity project. We have just posted a reply to your support ticket about the toolbar styling problems.
    Here is something that might be useful to know and is related to " the font-color property (set to orange) of radEditor does not get applied". The rich text content area of RadEditor is an editable IFRAME element. This IFRAME is a separate document that has its own CSS styles that originate from the RadEditor skin. The default font appearance in the content area can be overridden by setting the editor's ContentAreaCssFile property to point to your own CSS file, for example:

    <telerik:RadEditor
          ID="RadEditor1"
          ContentAreaCssFile="~/EditorContentAreaStyles.css"
          runat="server">
    </telerik:RadEditor>

    The CSS file should contain the following class:

      body
      {
        color: orange;
      }

    Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    Sincerely yours,

    Rebecca

    I have noticed that the radEditor from latest ASP.NET AJAX release, behaves strangely in FireFox 3.0. When I write something in the editor, suddenly some words will get underlined with a red dotted line.

    You can check this out by going to http://www.appgility.com/Requirements.aspx using FireFox 3.0

    Type something, the click the bullet list on toolbar. You will see the words suddenly underlined by a red dotted line.

    IS THIS A BUG with radEditor or is it something specific to Sitefinity?

    Hi Sunil,

    All misspelled words are underlined. The same thing happens in Firefox 2.x. It looks like this is a Firefox feature and has nothing to do with our products.
