control does not provide the required functionality to allow comments according to the user submission. To achieve this, you need to override the ContentView
base class and implement the desired logic in the SetSingleItemContent
method of the child class. Here is a reference to a kb article
that describes how to extend Content View.
2. In order to enable comments in the Generic Content module administration, you need to do the following:
In the ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content/CommandPanel.ascx template, add a link button with ID "commentsLink":
|<asp:LinkButton runat="server" ID="commentsLink" Text="Comments"/>
- Copy the ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Blogs/CommentsEdit.ascx, ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Blogs/CommentsList.ascx, and ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Blogs/CommentsView.ascx templates to the Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Generic_Content folder. You should also copy the resource files of these templates which are located in the App_LocalResources folder.
Hope this helps.
All the best,
the Telerik team
