In the Data Access section of the Developer's Manual, there are two examples for creating new classes with Nolics. Both have screenshots showing a Nolics template already in the list.

Installing Sitefinity on my system appearently didn't install the Nolics VS templates. Is there a separate install process for this?

The Nolics engine requires an install (http://www.nolics.net/).  This allows the classes to be generated around the dbclass that you create.

Joseph beat me to the punch. This is the right solution to it.
In addition, you could download the trial version as you only need the Visual Studio templates.

    Joseph, thanks for your answer!
