    Hi,

we developed a custom search index succesfully.

However there is a problem with the search box:

The search box is definied correctly for the index.
In the past we had another index that was deleted. However the searchbox throws Invalid index specified "oldindexname". We see that the request parameter IndexCatalogue is set wrong (to the old one instead to the new one). Again, it set correctly in the backend and in the page definition.

Any tip why sitefinity takes a search index that was deleted (!) ?

    Hello Christian,

Please check whether the problematic index exists under Sitefinity/App_Data/Search folder. If so remove it from there. Restart your application. There could be some caching or your custom index does not handle the deleting correctly.

    Hi Christian,

Try adding and removing the control from your page. Check whether there is a record to the database related to your old index ( [sf_Search_IndexignService] table). We are not able to reproduce similar behavior.
