I am using Sitefinity 3.7 and want to incorporate the Site Menu control into my site to take advantage of making the menu dynamic, but still want to be able to adapt the look of the menu to that of the design I was given for the site. My problem is, I have scoured the posts, tutorials, etc and either I am just dumb, or I cannot find anything that helps me with what I am trying to achieve. My issue is this, I need to use images and not just css attributes. The graphical elements for menu items resemble tabs and there is an 'off', 'hover' and 'focus' versions of each of these tabs. I tried to select a default skin and change it to meet my needs and begin with success, but the farther I get into it, I run into situations where the WebResource.axd file is apparently using a large image with many of the graphical elements contained on that image, and then moves it around to display only the parts of the image that are necessary at the time. I completely understand this concept andI use it for static menus with on and off versions of buttons ALL the time. The problem is, I ca't find that image the WebResource.axd is using and when I create an image for let's say...the left focus version of the button, and position it....it directly affects another aspect of the menu that uses the bigger image and repositions it somewhere else. Is that large image a sprite or something I can get access to? If not, is there a simple, easy to follow example of how to create a completely custom look, using images, for the dynamic Site Menu control in Sitefinity? I don't have access to any Telerik controls other than what comes in Sitefinity.

    Help is appreciated.

Ok, so with the help of a fellow developer who has the latest RAD controls, including the AJAX controls that contain the TabStrip, I have gotten my hands onthe TabStripStates images that control the 'default' look of the tab strip control. If I use these images as the pattern to add my custom images, how do I incorporate these two images into Sitefinity so that they will be used in place of the current images in the default skin?

    Hi Brett,

There is a whole section in RadTabStrip dev manual that explains how to change the appearance of the control

You can also take a look at Visual Style Builder and Controling appearance of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX in Sitefinity

    Kind regards,
