Is there a way to create a custome sitemenu that will show the child pages of a node even if there "show in navigation" is set to false?

for example...large site with a panel bar on the left side.  Al the child nodes are hidden for space and design consideration.

Page 1 has three child pages all with their show in navigation set to false.

    Page 1
        SubPage1
        SubPage2
        SubPage3

On each of these pages I would like to have a  secondary menu accross the top to display only the sub menu pages. But the will not display if their "show in navigation" is set to false

how can I create a control that will start at a certain node and show all the subpages regardless.

    Hello bleutiger,

For this you will have to utilize the Sitefinity Pages API and retrieve pages using the PageManager instead of binding the menu to a SiteMapDataSource. As far as I remember I have sent you a sample control illustrating how to achieve this in another support thread.

    Kind regards,

I think this might be the thread...

I am not 100% sure because that was a while ago.

    hope this helps!
