I'm new to sitefinity so I'm hoping my question isn't a stupid one ;-) We're working on a project requiring several custom modules. These modules need to support, amongst other things, multi-lingual support, permissions, and workflow - as some of the built-in modules can do. Having done some research over the last couple of days I've come to the conclusion that I need to be using pluggable modules and have since got stuck in.
As others have noted, the docs for module development could be better (not criticizing you guys - you've done an amazing job with Sitefinity), and I'm struggling to find good examples when it comes to identifying exactly what I need to do. To be specific, my current confusion resolves around the data assembly for my module - and whether or not I can use an alternative ORM tool from Nolics (I'm sure it's a great tool but we have an in-house standard which , as it happens, isn't Nolics).
My questions are: is there anything preventing me from using an alternative to Nolics - and are there any links I could follow which might give me a more in-depth explanation around this?
Any help will be much appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
