    How can I change the URL used for the default unsubscribe link that's used when creating a newsletter so that I direct users to a url that's *not* ugly, long and in the sitefinity/admin/controltemplates tree, where I don't want any users going to?

    I know I can manually create the page and use that url, but I just want to eliminate the chance that some newsletter writer will create a newsletter using that default url.

    Hi Chris Williams,

    Thank you for using our services.

    In the current version of Sitefinity, it is not possible to change the url for the unsubscribe link of newsletters.
    We will provide this option in the upcoming Sitefinity 3.6 SP1 and will contact you with details on how to change the url.

    All the best,

    Hello Chris Williams,

    In Sitefinity 3.6 SP,1 there will be an option to set the unsubscription form url in the web.config file.
    For example if you want to place this form to be at the root folder of your site (~/ConfirmUnsubscription.aspx) you should modify the <notifications section group:
    <notifications defaultProvider="Notifications"
          <providers>
            <clear/>
            <add name="Notifications"
            type="Telerik.Notifications.Data.DefaultProvider, Telerik.Notifications.Data"
             confirmUnsubscriptionUrl="~/ConfirmUnsubscription.aspx"
            connectionStringName="DefaultConnection" EnableSsl="false" MergedFields="FirstName;LastName" SendingInterval="1000"/>
        </providers>

    You can move the file [~your site]\Sitefinity\ControlTemplates\Newsletters\ConfirmUnsubscription.aspx to [your site]\ConfirmUnsubscription.aspx and you will not need to implement the unsubscription form.

    Greetings,
