    I need to disable the Blog module, at least from showing up in the Modules list. When I changed the Telerik.Blogs.dll to Telerik.Blogs.dll.disabled I received an error:

    Line 234:      <rssProviders>
    Line 235:        <clear />
    Line 236:        <add name="Blogs" type="Telerik.Blogs.RssProvider, Telerik.Blogs" visible="True" applicationName="/Blogs" rssFieldAuthor="Author" rssFieldTitle="Title" rssFieldPubDate="Publication_Date" />
    Line 237:      </rssProviders>
    Line 238:      <metaFields>

    Can I change the rssProvider and any other items dependent on the Blog module or hide the blog module in the Modules list?

    Hi Brian,

    The only thing you need to do to disable the Blogs module from showing on your Modules list is to comment out (remove) it from the modules section of your site web.config:

                <modules>
                    <add type="Telerik.Cms.Engine.GenericContentModule, Telerik.Cms.Engine"/>
                    <add type="Telerik.News.NewsModule, Telerik.News"/>
                    <!-- <add type="Telerik.Blogs.BlogsModule, Telerik.Blogs"/> -->
                    <add type="Telerik.Lists.ListModule, Telerik.Lists"/>
                    <add type="Telerik.Polls.PollModule, Telerik.Polls"/>
                    <add type="Telerik.Forums.ForumsModule, Telerik.Forums"/>
                </modules>

    This is great. I had previously searched and found a solution where you had to delete or rename the .dll associated with each module because you iterated through the folder to find the .dll's.

    This is a much better solution, thanks!

    Hello there,

    I want to do a similar thing, but instead of comment out this line and remove the module completely, I want to 'grey out' the 'Blogs' button in the cms. This is so that our clients can see available modules, but have to ask us to switch things on.

    Is this possible please and if so how? We are using 3.7.

    thanks, Louise.

    Hi briankb,

    You can access the main menu Tab from Sitefinity\Admin\Admin.master.cs and MainMenu_DataBound event. There you can disable the link of the RadTab control we use.
