Hi,

The Editor control seems to be stripping plus characters out of hyperlinks so if I enter the following:

    Hi+

Then the second plus remains but the first plus between Tets and Url is being removed. Is this intentional behaviour? How can I stop it doing this?

    Thanks,

    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

I tried to reproduce this behavior with RadEditor control under IE8 an FF 3.6.8, but the plus is not removed. You can give a try on RadEditor demo website. Could you provide some steps that we could follow to reproduce this issues and see what the problem is.

    All the best,

    Hi Ivan,

I think it's actually a problem with the save logic.

If I enter the content from my first post it is okay within the editor (e.g. if I switch from HTML to design or preview the plus remains), however it is when I save my content that the plus disappears. In the preview, after saving the plus has been removed, and it is also missing when I go back and edit my content.

    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

The plus does not get removed if you use GenericContent control with its default template and Sitefinity 3.7 SP3. There could be an issue with older versions.

    Hi Ivan,

I have tested this on the online sitefinity demo site, in the generic content module (content name is UrlTest) and am consistently reproducing this in IE8, Firefox 3.6.9 and Google Chrome.

If I enter %2B rather than the plus character then it does get translated into a plus, however if I edit again and re-save then it is replaced by a space.

    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

The demo uses Sitefinity 3.7 SP2. Have you tried this over Sitefinity 3.7 SP3 as suggested.

I'm quite sure I'm using SP3 already. Is there a way I can double check? I already have the web.config changes detailed in the upgrade page - http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/upgrade-instructions.aspx

I am using the external generic content template downloaded from the trial page. Is it possible that this is missing something?

    Hello Chris,

I am sorry for the confusion caused.

We have been testing this behavior with the latest build from our source control. We have overlooked the fact that we had such a bug logged and fixed for Sitefintiy 3.7 SP4 which is going to be released shortly. The problem was indeed in the save method of generic content based modules.

Thanks for clarifying. Is there any suggested a work around until SP4 is released?

    Hello Chris,

Unfortunately we do not have a workaround for this issue. We have the SP coming within a week.
