There were  errors during Service Initialization, check error log for details.

I get this error whenever i refresh the page after sometime.

Can anyone please tell what is causing this error.

All indexing services are properly working so its not due to the indexes.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Could you please send us the log file right after you see the error?
Something is not properly initializing. If you are running medium trust, please make sure to follow the steps in our User Manual regarding the medium trust.

    Kind regards,
    Georgi

Also i would like to tell you that once you refresh the page again this error is gone.
So i believe that this is initially due to some permissions to the App_Data folder.
We use Source Vault as a Source Control , is it because of the source control locking out the files and providing readonly access to the respective files.

    Thanks

    Hello Aashish,

Actually the exception System.UnauthorizedAccessException indicates that there is indeed no security privileges to App_Data\sitefinity.log file. I think that this file could not be created. Please make sure you have given full permissions of the account under Asp.Net is running.

As for the problem that you see the exception only the first time after application start, when you hit refresh, most probably this code is not loaded at all, that is why the exception is not thrown.

    Best wishes,
    Georgi
