    I am having a problem changing the default skin on the radscheduler/Events Schedule View.  I have looked through the forum and have not been able to find the answer. All I want to be able to do is change from the default skin to the Vista skin.  If I can get step by step instructions I would appreciate it.

    Hi shawn,

    Generally the control has EventsSchedule property under Misc section from where you can access second level  RadScheduler properties. There are bugs related to the second level properties, so the solution is mapping the template and setting the properties in the control declaration.

    Examples:

    Mapping the template
    ControlsConfig file.

    <viewSettings hostType="Telerik.Events.WebControls.EventsScheduleView"
        layoutTemplatePath="~/Sitefinity/Admin/Events/Front/EventsScheduleView.ascx" />

    Setting some properties in the control declaration.

    <%@ Control Language="C#" %>
    <telerik:CssFileLink ID="CssFileLink1" EmbeddedFileName="Telerik.Events.Resources.ControlTemplates.Frontend.eventsCommonLayout.css" Media="screen" runat="server" />

    <telerik:RadScheduler ID="eventsSchedule" runat="server" Skin="Vista" EnableEmbeddedSkins="true"
        <AppointmentTemplate>
            <asp:HyperLink id="eventDetailsLink" runat="server" />
       </AppointmentTemplate>
    </telerik:RadScheduler>

    Just to let you know we are going to release a SP in a week where this problems should be sorted out.

    Kind regards,

    I have installed SP1. This has not resolved the issue. I need to know how to change the Event Schedule View skin from Default to Vista.

    The file path below that you referenced above does not even exist in the site.

    ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Events/Front/EventsScheduleView.ascx

    Hi shawn,

    I regret to inform you that we could not manager to sort out all bugs. The options is my old suggestion for mapping the external template.

    The file path below that you referenced above does not even exist in the site.
    ~/Sitefinity/Admin/Events/Front/EventsScheduleView.ascx

    The path has been used with demonstrative purposes. It depends on where you have located the external templates.

    Hi Ivan,

    I've been trying to follow your instructions regarding use of skins for the scheduler (used to work fine in Version 3.5, but now no longer).
    Can you clarify to which file do you refer when you say "ControlsConfig file"?
    We have a file in our default theme folder with a *.skin extension containing some default control skins. But I don't think this is what you mean.

    Thanks.

    Hello Chanan Zass,

    Please take a look at the following article Introduction to ControlsConfig file. Controls configuration is defined by a special file named Telerik.Sitefinity.Configuration.ControlsConfig.xml

    I hope this helps.
