    Hi,

    i m building signup form for my corporate website using sitefinity CMS. i download this "Sitefinity Form Builder" module from Basem Emara. i copied 3 dll files into bin folder. he told to copy "app.config" contents in to "web.config". i did like that only. but when i add this code
     <add name="NetopiaSitefinityFormsModule" type="Netopia.Sitefinity.Forms.FormsModule, Netopia.Sitefinity.Forms" />
    in between <modules> </modules>. i  m getting error as attached image.

    i saw codes in web.config. each module as .dll and .xml version code. but for this there is no .xml file. whether i need download somewhere or create a new one?? other than this i think this module is working fine.

    I attached web.config file what i changed according to formbuilder code and image of what i m seeing on screen.

    Please help me in this issue asap.  Thanks for your supports u provided me for last 7 months.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Venkatesh

    Hello venkatesh alagu,

    Please disable the custom errors and send the actual error that is thrown. You could also check Sitefinity.log file in App_Data for some relevant errors thrown at the time of your request.

    Hi,

    The setting you mention in the error.jpg picture is not entirely correct. We use the Forms Module too and we put the following entry at that level in the web.config.

        <add type="Estate.SitefinityModules.Persons.PersonsModule, Estate.SitefinityModules.Persons"/>
        <add type="Estate.SitefinityModules.Links.LinksModule, Estate.SitefinityModules.Links"/>
        <add type="Estate.SitefinityModules.Cases.CasesModule, Estate.SitefinityModules.Cases"/>
        <add type="Netopia.Sitefinity.Forms.FormsModule, Netopia.Sitefinity.Forms"/>
    </modules>
    <services>
        <add type="Telerik.Search.SearchModule, Telerik.Search"/>
        <add type="Telerik.Search.Engine.IndexingManager, Telerik.Search"/>
        <add type="Telerik.Rss.RssModule, Telerik.Rss"/>
        <add type="Telerik.Rss.RssProviderService, Telerik.Rss"/>
        <add type="Telerik.Cms.Engine.ContentUrlRewriterService, Telerik.Cms.Engine"/>
    </services>
    <tools>
        <add type="Telerik.Cms.Tools.SiteExporter, Telerik.Cms"/>
    </tools>

    Ok, it's just a slight change but the runtime error seams to indicate that there is a problem in the web.config file. And this suggestion is easy to check. :)

    Regards,

    David

    Hello venkatesh,

    You have not modified the web.config properly and now you get parse error. Note that the parameter values are case sensitive.

    Hi venkatesh alagu,

    You can download a blank project of Sitefinity from your account and get the web.config default from there. Or just create new empty project from the Sitefinity Project Manager.

    hi,

    i downloaded blank project using my account and updated default web.config file. but still i m getting same error.

    Server Error in '/' Application.

    Runtime Error

    Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

    Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

    <!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

    <configuration>
        <system.web>
            <customErrors mode="Off"/>
        </system.web>
    </configuration>

    Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

    <!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

    <configuration>
        <system.web>
            <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
        </system.web>
    </configuration>
