I activated the Forum module in a test site and then dropped a link on the main page to test it out. When I click on the Hobby category which has a single message thread "Welcome to the Hobby Forum" it does nothing.

Here is the link from the main page
    http://localhost/test/?mode=singleForum&forum=cb8f903c-a89a-4b89-86f2-fa458d9f9111

I thought at first it was because there was no default page so I updated it in IIS to have default.aspx as the default page. Still nothing happens when I click the link.

What can I do to get this working?

    Hello Brian,

When you want to activate the Forum module on a page, it is enough to drag the Forums control from the Toolbox > Forums folder  on the page. Here is a screenshot:

From what I see from the described behavior, I assume that you have dropped some of the other controls on the page. If you want to use them we have a KnowledgeBase article on this topic available at KBHome > Modules > Using the different Forums module controls. You can find more interesting Sitefinity articles on our KnowledgeBase page.

More on the topic of Forums you can find in our User Manual available for download from our Documentation support page. The Forum section in the manual is located on page 125.

Let us know how it goes!

    Best wishes,
