    Hello,
My Organisation has purchased the licensed copy of version 3.7 sp3.

I have added custom textbox in PagesPropertiesEdit.ascx and PagePropertiesInsert.ascx pages.
I just need to know how can I add the fetch the content of the textbox and insert it in the database.
Also, while editing the same content is there a way to assign/set the value to the textbox.

    Please Help!!!!

    Regards,

    Hi Siddesh Kapadi,

You could use LINQ - InsertOnSubmit Method and SingleOrDefault Method  methods to save/retrieve data. Custom fields added to page properties are not dynamic and there are not API method that you can use. You have to create a custom data layer and database table where you will store the TextBox.Text value together with the page ID.

    Hello Team Telerik,

How can I get the inserted Page GUID, Once I register the savebutton click event on the pages.aspx page.
please note that this is not the save method that would be called first. The first to be called would be page editor PageProeprtiesEdit.ascx button event registered.

    Hi Siddesh Kapadi,

This post explains how to get the PageID.

"Another option is subscribing for CmsManager.Executing and check the command name"

    All the best,

I think the easiest way is to use the this.pageEditor.SelectedPageId
