    Hi,

I have 2 sites in dev that have product and category pages and they are using the URL rewriter to write the products sku and category id to the url.

    eg. http://dev.funkyfriendsfactory.com/product/PT-COCKATOO.aspx

I setup a search service to index the whole site but none of the the URL rewriter pages get indexed...

So searching for "Cockatoo" does not yield the above page in the search results... why is this?

You can test this behaviour if you like by going to http://dev.funkyfriendsfactory.com/searchtest.aspx

Also is there anyway you can exclude a page from results. eg. I dont' want the shopping basket page to appear in results.

I noticed there is a few posts from people stating their search is not indexing any words. I have both 3.1 dev version installed and community version and I have noticed that I am experiencing this same problem with the community version but the dev version seems to work... maybe it is just an issue with the community version.

    Cheers,

    Seth Cleaver

    Hello Seth,

I was able to confirm the first issue with indexing rewritten URLs and it will be fixed for the next release. However, I could not reproduce the problem with Community edition. Can you send us a project to investigate?

    Thanks for reporting these problems.
