    Hi,
I'm thinking of using Google Site Search on my site. It's possible, and how I can do to integrate Google custom search in Sitefinity?

    Best regards,

    Hello Bachar Zeidan,

Yes, you can integrate Google Custom Search by using Google Analytics script placed at the end of the body tag of your master pages and paste your code taken here: http://www.google.com/cse.

    Best wishes,

I am trying to overcome the shortcoming of the Sitefinity search engine for Azure deployments.
I created a Custom Search Engine in the Google UI, registered the site, added the snippet of Google code to a 'Search' page.
The next step was to somehow index the site - I believe the start of the process is to create a sitemap and register it with Google's custom search engine. So, I created a page with a navigation tree for it's content and named it 'Sitemap'. The problem is that when I look at the page in browser the URL is something like http://myapp.cloudapp.net/sitemap and Google is expecting a file extension at the end of the url. It gives me an error every time I try to test the sitemap. I tried naming the page 'sitemap.html' - totally failed...
Any idea how should I proceed?

    Hello,

Google expects an XML file for the sitemap with specific format, not a page. Please try one of our market place extensions for generatng Google sitemap: http://www.sitefinity.com/marketplace/modules/seo-sitemap-generator.aspx.

    Hi,

I went through the code and it seems that it will work on Azure as long as you add the DLL as part of your Azure deployment package.
