    I don't see any Approve or Publish permissions for News and Blog modules. How to add them and get it working? I use 3.7.

    Hi VIJAIANAND,

    1. Workflow should be enabled.
    2. You can map backend PermissionsView.ascx templates for the modules you want to enable these permissions and uncomment the code below from them

    <!--
                        ******* Uncomment this block when using workflow ********

                                <tr>
                                    <th>
                                        <asp:Literal runat="server" Text="<%$Resources:Approve %>"></asp:Literal>
                                    </th>
                                    <td>
                                        <asp:CheckBox ID="allowApprove" Text="<%$Resources:Allow %>" runat="server" onclick="CheckBoxHandler(this, this.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('input')[1].id)" />
                                    </td>
                                    <td>
                                        <asp:CheckBox ID="denyApprove" Text="<%$Resources:Deny %>" runat="server" onclick="CheckBoxHandler(this, this.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('input')[0].id)" />
                                    </td>
                                </tr><tr>
                                    <th>
                                        <asp:Literal runat="server" Text="<%$Resources:Publish %>"></asp:Literal>
                                    </th>
                                    <td>
                                        <asp:CheckBox ID="allowPublish" Text="<%$Resources:Allow %>" runat="server" onclick="CheckBoxHandler(this, this.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('input')[1].id)" />
                                    </td>
                                    <td>
                                        <asp:CheckBox ID="denyPublish" Text="<%$Resources:Deny %>" runat="server" onclick="CheckBoxHandler(this, this.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('input')[0].id)" />
                                    </td>
                                </tr>
    -->

    How is the generic content and other modules work without  these mapping? I don't see any specific permissoion file or anyting to map permission for those modules.

    Where can I find the permissionview.ascx file? Is it in the external template zip? Do I have to map the same way the template was mapped for each module? Please clarify.

    Hi VIJAIANAND,

    Since 3.6 we use external templates. All templates can be downloaded from the external templates archive. Each template that you want to modify should be mapped. External templates archive contains sample config file with all mappings.

    Kind regards,

    Ivan,

    I tried to search for the external website download but couldn't find the right page to download. Please point me to download the templates. Once I download, please direct me steps on which template to use for only permission granting. I like to keep everything else the same.

    THanks

    Hello VIJAIANAND,

    Here is a direct link to your download section from where you can get the templates.

    http://www.sitefinity.com/account/your-products/trial-product-versions/trial-single-download.aspx?pmvid=2288&pid=463

    Then you can search for PermissionsView template. Each backend module has this template.

    Kind regards,

    Ivan,

    I did find the template Permissionview.ascx for the list and added the file and added Approve and Publish options but it is not picked up when I go the sitefinity admin section. It still shows the same old limited options. Do I  have to compile or do something else?
