    Hi
I would like to send the content of our site for translation. They would like to get the content as aspx pages. Is there a way to dump the site as aspx pages. Is there any other way to do it (like xml files)?

    Thanks,
    Priya

    Hello Priya Ramesh,

It is not possible to dump the website as aspx pages, because there are not physical files. All data is stored into database. If it is only a matter of translation you could create a separate second -staging project using datasbase backup of the master website. Your translators will work on the staging project and when they are done you could use database replication tool to merge the changes.
The better and cost effective option is providing them access to the cms and allow to do the translation.

    Best wishes,

No xml export capability? Not all translation is ideally done by cloning and then editing the source language.

    Hello William,

There is export tool under "Administration" section, but the tool cannot export large websites. If the website is over 500 MB, most probably you will get time out exception.

How would you propose to best leverage TM for site translation? CMSes like SiteCore have the ability to consume a TM and offer back-end translation in a Trados-esque environment. Is that possible in Sitefinity, or is there an ideal way to otherwise export content for use with TM?

Excellent. Is there additional documentation about the localization management feature than the short blurb under product information? I'd like to see how it's implemented. else can you have someone contact me about a demo? I have a client in need of translation.

    Hi William,

Thank you for your interest in Sitefinity!

We do have documentation on the localization features in Sitefinity 4. We would be happy to demonstrate this and other functionalities in a personal demo for you and your client. One of our sales managers will contact you shortly so that you can discuss details about your project.

Looking forward to hearing back from you soon!
