What is the best approach to allow users to edit content that will be displayed across mulitple pages - i.e. creating one generic content control that you could place on multiple pages.

    Hello Mark,

This is the purpose of the Generic Content module. Your users can go to Modules->Generic Content, or any generic content based module and create an item. Then on the page they will use Generic Content control from Most popular section and when editing the content they will use Select shared content link and select the content item they wish to use.

    Best wishes,

Excellent.  Complete oversight missing the shared option.
