    1) By default I want that it should show month view (this time it is showing by default Day View)

    2) Heading that is showing Event Calendar that is cut off and nothing is happening after clicking this. I have demo URL to show you.
    Please review issue on following URL

    Hi anand,

    Thank you for contacting us.

    To set month view as default value you need to set SelectedView property of the control to "MonthView" in the following template ~Sitefinity\ControlTemplates\Events\EventsScheduleView.ascx as the example demonstrates.

    <%@ Register Assembly="Telerik.Cms.Web.UI" Namespace="Telerik.Cms.Web.UI" TagPrefix="sfWeb" %>

    <sfWeb:CssFileLink ID="CssFileLink1" FileName="~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Events/eventsCommonLayout.css" Media="screen" runat="server" />

    <telerik:RadScheduler ID="eventsSchedule" runat="server" SelectedView="MonthView"
    </telerik:RadScheduler>

    We cannot open the provided link. We are getting error."can't establish a connection to the server at www.arnimaserver.com:8081"

    Sincerely yours,

    I am still having issues with Calendar control (Event Shedule View control)
    Can you show me any website reference where I can see Event Shedule View control functioning and understand it's functionality.
    In My case nothing is happening after clicking on event heading (Is this control is only for showing headings?)

    Hi anand,

    Add the highlighted lines in the EventsScheduleView template. Thus, your events will be shown in the calendar.

    Open EventsScheduleView.ascx template located under: ~\Sitefinity\ControlTemplates\Events\) .

    <%@ Register Assembly="Telerik.Cms.Web.UI" Namespace="Telerik.Cms.Web.UI" TagPrefix="sfWeb" %>

    <sfWeb:CssFileLink ID="CssFileLink1" FileName="~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Events/eventsCommonLayout.css" Media="screen" runat="server" />

    <telerik:RadScheduler ID="eventsSchedule" runat="server" SelectedView="MonthView"
    <AppointmentTemplate>
    <asp:HyperLink ID="eventDetailsLink" runat="server"></asp:HyperLink>
    </AppointmentTemplate>
    </telerik:RadScheduler>

    3. Then, go to the page where you have dropped EventsScheduleView control and press the edit control button.
    4. Expand "Behaviour" section.
    5. Select a page in the SingleEventUrl property. It should be a page from the SiteMap where you have already dropped an EventsView control from the ToolBox.

    When you click on a single item from the EventSchedulerView control you will be redirected to the specified page. That page will display only that event item.

    Making link on Eventheading works fine but I have issue with EventDetail page(It's not going on proper EventDetails page from link on EventSheduler)
    When I matched URL of link on both EventView Control and EventSheduleControl,
    In EventView heading I have seen extra qureystring named "Events=EventItem"
    that is missing in EventSheduler hyperlink that we have added from tags

    <AppointmentTemplate>

    <asp:HyperLink id="eventDetailsLink" runat="server"></asp:HyperLink>

    </AppointmentTemplate>

    So definitly we needto add that querystring in EventSheduler control hyperlink

    below id both URL in local machine:-
    From EventView Control:-
    http://localhost/Event_Details/08-12-05/This_is_Calendar.aspx?ReturnURL=%2fCalendar.aspx&Events=EventItem

    From EventSheduler Control:-
    http://localhost/Event_Details/08-12-05/This_is_Calendar.aspx?ReturnURL=%2fCalendar.aspx

    Hello anand,

    There is no implementation for your requirements. If you want to be able to go the the selected item, you should override EventsScheduleView control and implement QueryStrings.

    We have logged this as a task for out feature releases.

    Best wishes,

    Hello anand,

    It does not matter which version you use. Until now QueryStrings for EventsScheduleView control are not implemented. So you need to override this control. I agree that this is a bug and probably it will be fixed in the next release 3.6.

    Hello anand,

    We do not have such control available yet.
    You have the full set of RadControls and Sitefinity API presented even with the free community version though. You can build your own control wrapping the RadScheduler, which shows only the items for a given category.

    Hi Anand,

    As we already explained, this is not a bug. The EventScheduleControl was not implemented to have this options. This is a design behavior.

    As for the APIs, you can use the Events API from our Developer Manual and the RadScheduler APIs - Binding to Generic List to attach it to the events you want.

    Observation on the calendar month grid that lists the summary:

    When there is more than one event per day you are using the what appears to be the same green box code that is used in the day view of the calendar.  The boxes seem to overlap and the top half of the second line of text is visible but unreadable.

    It would be my suggestion to provide two or three words followed by an ellipse for each event in that little cell in the month grid as well as have it link to the detail page for the event.  (Same style as the 'Show more . . .' text.)

    Hi Rick,

    We will have to think about it - I agree.

    A possible workaround could be the following approach:

    1. Create a new metafield for the Events module. Let's name it Extended_Info
    2. For the event details, you should write only a few words - just as many as you want to show in the calendar.
    3. Visiting the full article about the event, you will notice the Extended_Info text.

    I hope this helps.
