    Hi Sitefinity
Is there a way to use the Lightbox effect via the image gallery without having every thumbnail on the page e.g. can I create an image that said "view the gallery" and clicking on that alone fires the lightbox effect? and if so can i then hide all other thumb nails?

    Hope this makes sense

    Anthony

    Hello Anthony Smith,

Please check the following article on how you can enable the lightbox on any image - http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/#example

The only things that you should do is to include the lightbox scripts on the page, and place rel="lightbox" on the rendered images.

This is great, however i need the same functionality to display and entire library of images, WITHOUT listing or displaying multiple thumbnail images on the page. How do i add all images in a specific library to the lightbox from a  single link on the page?

    Hello Duncan Evans,

You can map GalleryLightboxList.ascx template and set the hyperlink that displays the images as not visible

    <dd class="sf_image"><asp:HyperLink ID="DownloadLink" runat="server" rel="lightbox[images]"  Visible="false"/></dd>

By doing so, you will get only the links of the items. When you click on any link the image will open with Lightbox.

    Ivan,

What i need is a SINGLE link or button that will open up the lightbox to scroll through a library of images.

If anyone is interested. I posted a control to the marketplace that allows you to pop up the lightbox of multiple image libraries without a image gallery and with custom content of your choice (link, linked image, etc..)

    http://www.sitefinity.com/marketplace/modules/controlled-lightbox.aspx

    Enjoy!
