    Hi all,

    Is it possible to create an image library for e.g. english and dutch pages? I have a multi-language project and I see that I have to upload photos twice when using the same image library inside my project for let's say 2 languages. If I should have 3 or 4 languages, I would have to upload my photos 3 or 4 times! That seems not so sufficient to me.

    Or... I'm forgetting something here?

    Hi Daniel,

    There is a solution to this problem.

    1. If you do not have to use localizable Libraries:

    You can set allowLocalization property to False instead of True as below

    <cmsEngine defaultProvider="Generic_Content"
                <providers>
                    <clear/>
                           ....
                                 ....
    <add name="Libraries" urlRewriteFormat="~/{Provider}/{LibraryName}/[Name].sflb" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="False" defaultMetaField="Name" applicationName="/Libraries" allowVersioning="True" allowLocalization="False" localizationProviderName="" allowWorkflow="False" securityProviderName="" versioningProviderName="" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.Libraries.Data.DefaultProvider, Telerik.Libraries.Data" tagEditorTemplate="~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/Libraries/BatchTagsEditor.ascx"/>

    2. If you want to use localizable Libraries you need to create a new provider for libraries. It could be with the same application name or different. I am suggesting this because there are some known issues with localization enabled in the libraries area.

    I am having the opposite problem where i have enabled localization on generic content and in the CMS the news module shows different different items depending on which language is chosen.  but when i go to the Images & Documents module it shows the same libraries and library images regardless of which language is chosen.  I have enabled allowLocalization="True" on the Libraries module as well.  Not sure what the problem is.

    Regards,

    Josh

    Hello Josh ,

    There are known issues with Localization in Images and Documents module. The Localization for this module does not work properly.

    Kind regards,
