Ok, this is something i just noticed now but I have been working with this site on my local development machine, i published it and put it on the server today.

On the home page of the site i added a "Image" control that comes with SiteFinity and had the control load a image from a library that i created.... After i put the site on the server the image came back broken... So i went into the admin thinking there was something wrong witht he library, but the image what there... i readded the image to the controla nd it worked...

Now when i open my dev version of the site the image comes back broken... If i setup the Image control to display the image for production version the dev does not display correctly, and visa versa...

Any Ideas on what this is about?

Is your website on your dev machine in the same relative location to your web root?

i.e.  is your dev site at http://localhost/ and on the production server at http://mywebsite.com/

If your dev site is at say http://localhost/myprojects/project1  then the issue would be that your relative path is different and that is why they are showing broken.

    Hello,

    Adam, you are correct.

Duncan, you may use the ReplaceTool published in our blogs to fix the links.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Duncan,

Regular expressions would not be required for this scenario.

Please backup your database and try the following:
    Search for : /your_virtual_directory/
    Replace with: /

/your_virtual_directory/ would be the name of your project's virtual directory on your local computer. Since you are using the root directory on your live server, the path should be just a slash - /

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Georgi
