    Hi,

I created a custom module based on the generic content.
It's working just fine. (i check all the functionnality in the back end)
At this point i tried to add meta data:

-i did the add key in the metafield section
-i add too the new UI in the controlPanelInsert.ascx.

The fields related to the meta data are visible on the insert view, but when i insert a new item, the meta field are not inserted in the data base. (I check the sf_GCMetadata table: the keyvalue column exist but is empty)

I surely miss one step but i've no clue of it...
Since i can't see any exception, i have no idea where to begin with to resolve this one.

    Nevermind,
    I just see through it.

The UI controls related to the meta-data have to be inside the ContentMetaFields control. this Make sense.

    Hello Kenny South,

Templates as  ControlPanelInsert.ascx and ControlPanelEdit.ascx are used in versions before 3.6. This means that you are using the old implementation. Anyway you could check the following.

    1. Make sure that the name of your metakey is the same as the ID of the control you use to persist the data.
    2. Make sure that you have added your contol inside ContentMetaFields

    Kind regards,
