    I am getting reports from some of our analysis apps that Google is seeing duplicate content on our site, which we do not have. However the Google Forums pointed me to a very interesting article:

    http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/02/specify-your-canonical.html

    This simply says that Google sees URL's to the same page with different parameters attached as different pages. And that this should be added to the head portion of the pages in question:

    <link rel="canonical" href="http://www.example.com/product.php?item=swedish-fish" />

    Looking at the page properties in SiteFinity i see no option for "canonical".

    How should i handle the problem i am having right now in SiteFinity?

    Hi Duncan,

    You can create a user control that you can use for these cases

    sample

    var co = new HtmlLink();
    co.Attributes.Add("rel", "canonical");
    co.Href = "http://www.example.com/product.php?item=swedish-fish";
    Page.Header.Controls.Add(co);
