    I have been reading (this) entry about modifying the login-related user controls.  After some diddling, I have things the way I like them.  However, I notice that all the user accounts I've added are going "somewhere" and I cannot find them.  In addition, I attempted to log in using my admin user account and it could not find me.

    In the dashboard, I can no longer log into my admin user account.  I have not touched that account.  I did add the password recovery control and attempted to use a page containing that control.

    I look in the SQL database (telerik_users) and the account is still there and IsLockedOut is false.  Dead in the water.

    Hello John White,

    Try to reset the administrators password. The users are stored in the database

    • [telerik_Roles] - data about all roles
    • [telerik_Users] - data about all users
    • [telerik_UsersInRoles] - User -Role relation

    All the best,
    Ivan Dimitrov

    The entry in the manual does not address my problem.

    Method #1
    The code entry
    MembershipProvider prov = UserManager.Default.MembershipProvider;
    prov.ResetPassword("admin", "");
    I replace admin with my administrator account name, put the code in the Page_load of a page, put it on my website and tried it out.  seemed to work.  But didn't change a thing, still cannot log in with or without password.

    Method #2
    Shows a user that is already logged in and the ability to reset their password.  Pardon, but if I could log in we wouldn't be having this discussion.

    And btw, the users I've been adding are NOT in telerik_Users, I've been looking using SQL Management Console.  So something is going terribly wrong.
