I've recently upgraded my Sitefinity to v3.2 SP1 and I get this error

Method not found: 'Void Telerik.Web.UI.RadProgressContext.set_Item(System.String, System.String)'.

Just after the update progress bar finishes it throws this exception that used to work just fine.

Please tell me what's wrong with it.

    Hello Zubair,

This is a known issue if you upgrade the RadControls of Sitefinity 3.2SP1 to newer version. This problem is fixed in Sitefinity 3.5 - we adjusted the CMS to work with the new version. You should get back the old RadControls or use Sitefinity 3.5.

    hi Georgi,

Could you please elaborate as what did I do to get this error,

I've recently upgraded to SF 3.2 SP1 did that cause this problem ?

I upgraded to RadGrid Ajax, does it have anything to do with it ?

Has this not been fixed for version 3.2 ?

I can't upgrade the entire project to SF 3.5 to solve just this issue. Please suggest me exactly what needs to be done.

    Thanks

    Hello Zubair,

    Yes, sure.
The AJAX version of the controls is causing this problem. You have upgraded Telerik.Web.UI.dll to use RadGrid AJAX, but this assembly contains also the rest of the RadControls. We use the RadUpload for uploading files. In the AJAX version, the RadUpload control was changed, which is causing the error you get now.

We suggest you to use the original RadControls that came with Sitefinity 3.2SP1. As the upgrade is not possible, this seems to be a solution. Another solution could be to use the AJAX version of the controls in different application, and to include the page in which you have the RadGrid as an external page.

    Sincerely yours,

I recently upgraded to RadGrid AJAX after a suggestion from your team for a problem that I'm having, please read this issue

I'm having the issue with the faulty RadProgress bar in the Sitefinity Images & Documents module and I'm using RadGrid Ajax in a different custom-built module for Sitefinity, so I'm not sure how upgrading to RadGrid Ajax caused the problem since the Telerik.Web.UI.dll existed in the folder already.

    Hi Zubair,

In the mentioned by you post, we suggest you to use the RadControls for Asp.Net AJAX instead of the classic controls, but not the latest version. You should use only the original RadControls Asp.Net AJAX which we deliver with Sitefinity 3.2.

Please use the Sitefinity 3.2 installer, create a new project and take the Telerik.Web.UI from it. This is AJAX version and it is safe to be used.

The latest RadControls you want to apply, can be used only in Sitefinity 3.5.

    Sincerely yours,
    Georgi
