    Hello,

    I have had a request to add a second RadEditor to the News module, so that HTML can be used in the summary for a news item. This seems to work quite well with one of the editors (the one that is used for content), however, with the one I add, page linking no longer works. It does everything successfully, but it seems that the href for the link is never parsed from it's sitefinity ID. So, in the content, I get a link that points to [Sitefinity]<GUID>, whereas in the content editor, once the news item is saved, it changes the href to a usable URL.

    How can I correct this? I am using version 3.7.2022.2.

    Thanks.

    Hello Travis,

    You should resolve the content manually by using LinkParser

    string text = (string)this.RadEditor1.Content;
    text = LinkParser.ResolveLinks(text, ContentManager.ResolveItemUrl, null, true, false);
    this.RadEditor1.Content = text;

    Since this is in a control that uses built-in logic for saving (currently using NewsItemEdit.ascx from the templates), how can I get inject this logic into the save method for the control without having access to it's code behind?

    Hi Travis,

    Subscribe for the save button and its click event. Inside global.asax you can subscribe for the static events ContentManager.Executed or Executing.

    Where can I download SP4 for Sitefinity 3.7? From what I understand, the link parser was modified in this service pack release, will this correct this issue? These issues are also occurring in the Generic Content module.

    Hi Travis,

    Yes, there are fixes to the link parser.  You can download the patch from your account - Downloads section
