I am running 2 sites with same Database. One is considered the "Admin/Sitefinity" website and the other is considered the "Front-End" website. The reason for this is due to performance.

Since most content changes/updates happen in the "Admin" site, the search index is not getting updated on the "Front-End" website. I have read some postings about this but would like a more defined and clear approach to have the "Admin" site content updates modify the "Front-End" search index.

    Thanks

    Hello mcpdinkansas,

The search engine stores its segments files ( where the index data is ge/set) in a local folder of App_Data. In this case when you have two websites you should use a third replication tool that merges the file data from App_Data/Search/ folder.

Is there a way to run a search index programatically through api or code?
