    Does anyone have any suggestions for creating a customized implementation of the NewsList control?

    I've managed to create a control that'll list just the headlines, but I can't figure out how to set up the links (think the "more" link but wrapped around the news article's title), or how to implement a way to select the category to display.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated....

    Hi Julia Essex,

    You can enable the news headline to be a "more" like link by wrapping it between a HyperLink control whose ID value is one of these: newsLink, newsLink2, newsLink3. Note that you can have up to three links for a news item which point to the single news.

    This works a treat

    However, when editing the CSS it applies accross the single news item and the overview page

    If i edit the NewsList.ascx page directly and set the more link to not show

    <span id="pnlMore" runat="server" class="more" style="display:none;">

    it works fine
    but applying the style to the CSS file, gets rid of them both
    Is the only way around this to have a different Theme?

    Hi Quade,

    If I understand correctly, you want to make the "more" link invisible. To achieve this, open the advanced property window of the NewsList control, expand the Appearance section and set the ShowMoreLink property to false.

    Please describe your issue in details if there is some misunderstanding.
