    Hi,

    As the URL of news item is based on the title of  the news. so when i modify title of any news the URL also changes, so many users may see a 404 error. is there any way i can avoid this?

    Hi Muhammad Saqib,

    In the context of the website it is not possible to get the link broken, because we use dynamic links. Once the title of an item  is changed the NewsView will start using the new title. Even using Rss feeds the url is updated properly. However the content item formant can be changed through web.config provider declaration using urlRewriteFormat property. You can exclude the title or replace it with item ID.

    <add name="News" allowWorkflow="false" allowLocalization="True" urlRewriteFormat="[Publication_Date]/[Title].aspx" urlDateTimeFormat="yy-MM-dd" urlWhitespaceChar="_" visible="False" defaultMetaField="Title" securityProviderName="" allowVersioning="True" applicationName="/News" versioningProviderName="" commentsModeration="true" connectionStringName="GenericContentConnection" type="Telerik.News.Data.DefaultNewsProvider, Telerik.News.Data"/>

    All the best,

    We are also having the same issue in our news page. Whenever we change the news title we get a page not found error on the website. The problem disappears only when we recycle the app pool. Is there any way we can de-cache the old broken news link.

    Note.
    Replacing the [Title] item with ID is not a solution for us for SEO purposes.

    Hello Gregg Sedgwick,

    We use the item Guid to resolve the title, so once you update a content item and refresh the page where NewsView control resides you should see the updated title of an article. I tried using page caching as well with no avail to reproduce this problem in Sitefinity 3.7 SP2. You can take a look at the attached video.
