    Greetings,

    Can you tell me what fields can be used in het MergedFields for the newsletter?
     I know of the FirstName, LastName and Email. And they are all from the subscriber.

    But are there any newsletter attibutes, you can use?

    Best wishs

    Greetings,

    Thank you. Yes I thought so. But is there a (easy) way, to include somethink like the create date of the newsletter.
    I ask because it can be used to make a link "If you can not read this newsletter, klick this link to see the online version". I made this option in our newsletter, but currenly we have to add the date manually.

    Best wishes,

    Chris Hofgen

    Hello Chris Hofgen,

    You can enable the InsertDate tool of the RadEditor. This will give you a button in the editor toolbar to insert today's date into the content. To do this go to ~/Sitefinity/Admin/ControlTemplates/EditorToolsFile.xml and edit it to include the InsertDate tool:
    <tools name="MainToolbar" dockable="false">
      ...
      <tool name="InsertDate"/>
    </tools>

    Thank you for you reply.

    But this is not what I am looking for. Yes, the option you discribe will insert de current date into the content.
    There are two but's for this. In our case it would insert a globalized ducht formatted date. And in de newletter public module I can not be shure if this always the case.
     And in the second place. I mean, is it easily possible to change the newsletter module to insert the create date of the newsletter when sending the newsletters, like the unsubsciber tag.

    Greetings

    Hello Chris Hofgen,

    Unfortunately the Newsletters module does not allow easy extensions. Especially like this one. You can extend the control templates to bind to the click event of the send and save draft buttons in the NewsletterContent.ascx control template. There you can get the content of the editor using contentEditor.Content. And perform a String.Replace operation for all occurrences of {Date} for example to replace to the date you wish. Then set the contentEditor.Content to the new content.

    All the best,
