    Hi,

I have control that retrieves child pages based on a page id (which is easy enough). But my control has a public property which allows the page id to be entered so child pages are retrieved for pages that are other than current.

How do I get a page's guid using the administrative UI and if the page is of type page group?

    Hi Sam,

Have a look at Gabe's Child Links contol which allows you to pick the parent page from the site map in the admin UI.

    http://goondocks.com/blog/07-10-25/sitefinity_child_links_control.aspx

This should set you in the right direction.

    Hope this helps,

    Seth

Is there a way to access pages using SF api's like MCMS example -

GetByTemplate, GetByURL. GetByPath, as the CMSManager getPage and getPages methods don't full fill our requirements.

Sorry about the download link not working earlier.

My recent botched 3.2 upgrades have left the web site in a bit of disarray.  While restoring I forgot to restore some of the images & files.

I have reposted most of it, although there might still be a few problems.

    Hey Sam,

I'm going to let Telerik weigh in on this.  Aside from them, I'm not sure anyone can claim to be an expert with the Sitefinity API's.

I looked at the Developer's Manual and see the following methods:

    CmsManager.GetTemplates
    CmsManager.GetUrls

I have not personally experimented with these however and do not know what they do.  Please report back with anything you learn.  I know I am very curious to see how others are utilizing the Sitefinity API's.
