    Hi!

    I have a problems with forum default templates. The main problem is that I can't write posts to threads and it doesn't show me some toolbox for radeditor. Can you suggest me something in this situation?

    Also can you explain how I can change skin for RadEditor for forum?

    If this happens on the front end, check whether the user you have authenticated with has needed permissions to write in the forum. You can also check the settings you have for Moderate posts and Deny anonymous access. The second one will require login.

    Also can you explain how I can change skin for RadEditor for forum?

    It depends on which template you are working with. You can use one of the default templates specifying Skin property and setting  EnableEmbeddedSkins="True"

    Hi Ivan!

    I want to moderate posts and allow anonymous users to write posts.  I set this properties for my forum and now as anonymous I can't write anithing. Maybe cause of this problems in templates?

    And I want to use Gray Skin from Skin pack for RadControls. What I need to do for applying this Skin?

    This is strange but when I tried to use default templates for forum EditPost and EditThread it still didn't show me any tools and I can't write in editor box. Can you explain this behavior?

    Also I found that comments doesn't work too. Tools for editor doesn't show and you cant't write comments.

    Comments doesn't need for my site but I want to use normal RadEditor.

    What can be the cause of such behavior?

    I fix RadEditor by copying templates from EmptyProject. Now I can write messages but I have not any tools in RadEditor. What can cause this?

    Hello Paul,

    There should be a Toolsfile where you can configure RadEdotior's tools. The path to this file should be set in your RadEditor declaration.

    <telerik:RadEditor
                runat="server"
                ID="editor"
                ToolsFile="~/Sitefinity/ControlTemplates/Forums/ToolsFile.xml"
          ....
             ....

    For more information about managing RadEditor control you can take a look at RadEditor for ASP.NET AJAX

    We had the same problem with the default Emerald Blue theme. The problem seems to stem from the css. Here's how we fixed it:

    1. For some reason the .reToolbarWrapper was set to invisible. Override this

    .reToolbarWrapper
    {
    visibility:visible !important;
    }

    2. Make sure that the li css commands in your other classes don't have a background. The toolbox editor background images are being overwritten. The toolboxes are there, they just don't have any images associated with them, because they're getting overwritten by the normal "dots"

    Hello Matt,

    Thank you for taking part in this discussion. We will see if this is the best way for fixing this, but in first place, your workaround seems fine.
