I have successfully integrated the products module with enabled category to my site. Now I want to be able to include the permission with it just like the other modules where you can set permissions. How will I be able to do that?
    Thank you

Nevermind my firstpost as I've already manage to integrate the permission. However, now I'm encountering a problem where I created a user and set permissions to it. The user is not allowed to view the products but allowed on other modules such as blogs, news etc. But it seems the product is still included in the menu. How will I be able to hide the product menu? Many thanks for your help.

    Hello Roland,

Please refer to the following blog post which describes in details how to secure Products sample module: Products module: Implementing permissions. Then, make sure you have followed all the steps.

Do let us know how it goes.

    Sincerely yours,

    Hi Pepi,

Thanks for the informative reply. I tried it though I manage to make it work partially. Is the project provided in the link that you gave me is compatible with version 3.5 as I always get an error of telerik.cms.web.ui.backend is missing?

If not, how will I make it work with 3.5 as I cannot upgrade to 3.6 because of the project requirement?

    Many thanks.

Also as i've mentioned I manage to make it work partially where I successfully hide the product menu to the user. However when it comes to view access it fails because as I've seen on the project module that i've downloaded from the link you gave me it has usercontrols for backend which i think is not supported by 3.5.

    Hi Roland,

Here is a sample has been created and built with Sitefinity 3.5 Service Pack 1. It will work normally with 3.5 as well. In the mean time series (part 1): "Products" module - simple implementation with enabled tags . There are six parts of this implementation that you can find in our blog. This module uses the old architecture of Sitefinity. If you want to get advantage of the new architecture and this module you could crate a project on your local station based on Sitefinity 3.6

    I hope this helps.
