    Hi,

    How do I add css styles to the Rad Editor in sitefinity so that they appear in the dropdownlist.

    Thanks,

    Hi rmoynihan,

    Please take a look at the following links to gather more information:
    For instance if you decide to use External Css files you should do the following.

    1. Create a folder where you will store your .css files.
    2. Create a .css file.
    3. Use CssFiles property to specify a string array as the list of CSS files, which you need the editor to use as below:

     <telerik:radeditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1"
       <CssFiles>
           <telerik:EditorCssFile Value="~/ExternalCssFiles/Styles1.css,~/ExternalCssFiles/Styles2.css" />
       </CssFiles>
    </telerik:radeditor>

    4.Add the styles in the .css file to the classes section in \[YourProject]\Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\EditorToolsFile.xml

    Hope this helps.

    Could you possibly send me sample files with this implememnted.

    It does not seem to work for me.

    I tried using the following,

    <CssFiles>

    <telerik:EditorCssFile Value="~/Css/ThemeRed.css" />

    </CssFiles>

    in the Rad Editor but this just changed the style of the Rad Editor text box.

    I want the styles to appear in the DropDownList.

    Thanks,

    Ronan

    Hello rmoynihan,

    Please find the attached files as an zip archive and a screenshot for your convenience.

    The archive contains:
    • ExternalCSS folder containing a css file with three classes.
    • "~\Sitefinity\Admin\ControlTemplates\Generic_Content\ControlPanelEdit.ascx" template.
    • EditorToolsFile.xlm
    In this example the Css classes will be available only when you edit Generic Content Items.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

    I have applied those changes but I am not actually seeing the dropdown for 'Apply Css Class'.

    I just see one dropdown for 'Paragraph Style'.

    Is there some way of enabling this Dropdown?

    Thanks,

    Ronan

    Hi rmoynihan,

    Thank you for getting back to us.

    We are able to set the drop down using the files we sent to you. They represents the same steps described in the Rad Controls for ASP.NET AJAX developer manual.

    Best wishes,
