    Hi All,

I am wanting to put some text and image links to our twitter and facebook at the bottom of the rss feed (Feed).

I've had a look around the forums and see how to change content, but nothing like what I am wanting to do. Will I need to create a custom RSS Provider? If so how would I go about that and display the above items.

As always any help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Jodie

    Hello Jodie,

Thank you for using our services.

Unfortunately the only way to achieve this if you utilize the approach from this forum thread. The difference will be that in the override of GetRssItems method instead of setting the comments field or author field (or any field that you do not want to show) to empty string you will add the html of your Facebook and Twitter buttons.

    Best wishes,

    Hi Radoslav,

Thanks for the quick response. I thought this may be the case. If I do as suggested in the GetRssItems method will this put the Twitter icon at the bottom of each post or the page?

    Thanks again

    Hi Jodie,

GetRssItems returns a list of RssItem objects represeting the RSS data for CMS pages which gives you access to all RssItems.

Apart from that you could also try to alter RssHttpHandler and its GetContentData method that is used to output Rss data.

    Kind regards,
